Being "skinny fat" is just as bad as being "fat fat". Really.
I see that most women at the gym who are just getting back into fitness and working out make a big mistake. Sure, doing cardio is what burns the calories, but it is not the answer to all of our prayers. Sorry.
Don't get me wrong... doing cardio is GREAT (give yourself a pat on the back)... but its just not cutting it. If you are going to work out and try to look your best, you might as well give it your all and actually TRY to achieve the most of it rather than just doing cardio alone. This will make you look thin but will definitely lack definition. Meaning... that bikini could STILL look better on you... or you can still look better under that bikini.
Try some strength training like Pilates, squats and lunges twice a week. This will help you create lean muscles that will make you look and feel even sexier. AND... it can also slightly boost your metabolism! ;)
All I am saying is that since you're already at the gym, make the best of it and an extra 10 minutes to focus on strength training couldn't hurt.
