How to Achieve Beautiful Legs...
I don't think that there is one single woman out there who can honestly say that she doesn't want to have beautiful and sexy legs. (Find her and bring her to me... I'd love to meet her) So... here are a few tips I've compiled on how to get beautiful legs:
- Legs may look heavy because of bad circulation. Put your legs and feet up every once in awhile.
- If your legs are too fat, go on a sensible diet and exercise regularly.
- If your legs are to thin, improve them with exercise. Toned legs with muscles are much more attractive than thin and skinny legs with none.
- Walk or bike for shapely legs. Try walking the stairs rather than elevator. Every little bit helps... trust me.
- Avoid the appearance of varicose veins by not standing still for long periods of time... move around.
- Don't forget to moisturize after a nice bath... or even shower!
- Avoid baths that are just too hot.
- Ditch excessive sun exposure.
- Elevate your legs when sleeping... try raising them with a pillow (if you don't mind).
- Finish your showers with a cold water splash on your legs.
- Of course, drink lots of water!

Diet This... Diet That!
Diet, Diet, DIET!
Is it just me or is this the most popular topic of discussion? I admit... I am so sick of this word. Saying it three times out loud makes it sound even uglier and I hate it even more!
If you can diet, then great for you... more power to yah! (high five) I've tried diets here and there, but I always seem to fall off the loop. One thing is for sure though... I can never replace real ice cream with diet ice cream or fat free ice cream! When you're really craving some sort of ice cream flavor, no amount of fat free ice cream of the likes can ever suffice. You'll just end up eating 4 or 5 servings of those just trying to hit the spot that one scoop of chunky monkey would have done the job.
Diet foods really do make you feel cheated because after you eat it, you're still hungry! How about we just toss all the diet foods and have the real thing... but maybe just half the size that we usually would have and just savor every bit?
Sounds like a plan to me!

Shrink on a Budget!
No one likes to look at big pores screaming at them when they're talk to you, so do both parties a favor and just shrink them already!
I don't know of a way to get rid of them entirely, but you can surely make them less visible for only a few bucks at any drugstore!

If you're really going to beat yourself up to cough up $4 for this baby (so worth it), then go the cheaper way and leave egg whites on your skin for 10 minutes. Clean it up with with hazel afterwards and you'd feel like a new woman!

No Way, Smooth Away!


Yes... we've all seen the commercials and we've all been intrigued (admit it).
I have tried the product and at first I thought it was neat how it worked. It took me about 45 minutes to buff away the hairs on one leg and pretty much gave up on the other leg since I ran out of time and resorted to shaving! The next day, I noticed that hair on both legs have already grown back at exactly the same rate/pace. The infomercial said that it lasts longer than shaving so that right there is B.S.
I gave it another shot a few days later when I had more time and I noticed a little burning that felt like cuts, but I ignored it because I wanted my legs to be smooth that badly. So... I just continued. Before I was even done, my legs were burning and itching like heck!
Yes... I buffed away not only my hair, but also my skin and managed to give myself a rash with these pads covered with a sheet of sand paper!
I suggest you don't bother with it but IF you really really want to try it and don't want to take my word for it, here's a tip: Don't bother ordering it online or through the phone because you'd have to wait for it AND pay for shipping. Just pick it up at Walgreens... they have it there too!

Cardio is NOT cutting it!
Being "skinny fat" is just as bad as being "fat fat". Really.
I see that most women at the gym who are just getting back into fitness and working out make a big mistake. Sure, doing cardio is what burns the calories, but it is not the answer to all of our prayers. Sorry.
Don't get me wrong... doing cardio is GREAT (give yourself a pat on the back)... but its just not cutting it. If you are going to work out and try to look your best, you might as well give it your all and actually TRY to achieve the most of it rather than just doing cardio alone. This will make you look thin but will definitely lack definition. Meaning... that bikini could STILL look better on you... or you can still look better under that bikini.
Try some strength training like Pilates, squats and lunges twice a week. This will help you create lean muscles that will make you look and feel even sexier. AND... it can also slightly boost your metabolism! ;)
All I am saying is that since you're already at the gym, make the best of it and an extra 10 minutes to focus on strength training couldn't hurt.

Cut the Cake!
Lets be real... its not our birthdays everyday. Please don't treat yourself to a cakey face everyday (and add some more throughout the day).
If you need only a light coverage, you're already lucky as it is. (Feel blessed, please!) But if you need a better/heavier coverage, I'm going to assume that you use either a liquid or cream foundation (please correct me if I'm wrong). Again, with the culprit called heat and humidity at our doors, lets try to prevent the cakey look even more.
Try mixing a bit of light moisturizer with your foundation for a sheer and lighter coverage. Don't think of it as diluting your foundation. Just give it a shot and you might be surprised. If you don't like it then by all means, cake on, my friend! :)

Feeling bloated? Get some calcium in your system and get rid of that bloat!

Wanna fight the fat? Snack on ALMONDS! Yes, it probably has a bit more calories than other snacks, but it will actually keep you full and prevent you from snacking even more within an hour or two!
Wanna feel full? Get yourself a bottle of water or water enriched fruits and veggies!
And of course... we all already knew this, but just a reminder! ;)

For some reason, my silly mind didn't ever use primers before and never knew how great such a product can be. I was fine with just a really good moisturizer and called it a day. Silly, silly me!
I received my first bottle as a prize/gift for something and at first, I paid no attention to it. Finally, I actually gave it a shot and was amazed at how great this product felt. I loved the way it made my skin feel so much that I even tossed out the idea of needing to wear foundation for awhile... especially in heat.
It was silky smooth and not to toot my own horn but my face felt amazing... AMAZING! I later put on foundation over the primer and I did notice a difference. The foundation glided on smoothly and it made my skin look even and wrinkleless. (Is that even a word?)

This little bottle is evil and it can mess up your skin more than you'd ever imagine.
I am only speaking from my experience here -- I woke up and felt that my skin felt fine and refreshed. So what did I do? I decided to give it a little "treat". Little did I know that this treat AKA bareMinerals Rev-er Upper was going to leave my face itching and burning ALL day long.
I wish I would have known because I would have definitely taken a before and after picture to share and prove the results. If I was crazy, I'd try it again... but I'm not. It took a few days for the burning and itching to die down. And I KNOW that this was the culprit because it was the only thing that I did out of the norm. I also did some research and found that others had the same problem as I did.
So... I know that its "free" in your starter kit boxes (most of you), but really... just toss it already or give it to someone you really really hate! ;)
